Creating & Launching Tests

Once you have selected a test idea, you can now start the process to create the test variation including design and code:

On the Idea Generation Job page, Select an idea and click "Create Test".
You will be taken to the test setup page
In the Setup tab
1. Review the fields and edit as needed
2. Select Targets:
  1. Test duration: The default is set by your store settings. You can adjust these days as needed to ensure you are collecting sufficient data to make a proper decision
  2. of observations: if you leave this as 0, the duration of the test will be set by days
  3. Split %: This will determine your traffic split for your control vs variation(s)
3. Status: This indicates what status the test is.
4. Preview test: Clicking this link will load the variation of the page
5. View original: Clicking this link will load the original page (without any of the test variation code)
6. Flag as broken: If you run into errors during the test creation and setup, you may submit a report by clicking this link
  1. To report a bug, click “Flag as broken”
  2. Select a reason
  3. Add details
  4. Submit
In the Content tab you can edit the different fields that for all editable content on the test variation on the page
1. Note that these fields are generated dynamically for each test
2. If there are issues with any content fields, you may submit a bug by clicking “Flag as broken”
In the Results tab, you will review performance, which will be done later.
